One more killed by VIP vehicle


A vehicle in which Deputy Minister Premalal Jayasekara’s family members were reportedly travelling, had met with an accident in Avissawella on Sunday (13) night killing one person while injuring three others.

The incident had taken place at around 8 p.m. on Sunday night at the Ukwatta junction in Avissawella.

However, the Avissawella police denying the presence of a Deputy Minister’s wife in the vehicle stated that the vehicle is state owned and belongs to a ministry. The Avissawella police officials further stated that the crash had resulted in the death of one person while injuring three other individuals and added that further investigations are being carried out on the incident.
